to the popular A. shira. Aureum in habit and structure but considerably faster.
Makes a sturdy small tree for the landscape.
The leaves on this one are similar to Golden Fullmoon maple with the rich
butter yellow color but it is distinguished by the rose-pink highlights over
much of the foliage especially in the new growth. The leaf shape is similar but
slightly larger, narrower with more deeply cut lobes. An added benefit is the
improved tolerance to heat and humidity which is much improved over Aureum.
Sighting in afternoon condition is still recommended to bring out the best in
the leaf color. Fall display is a blend of pink and orange.
